PARIS HALLMARKED FRENCH SILVER TWO-PART BUCKLE,
in the orientalist taste.
Since the 1600's, fashionable ladies of Paris have dressed 'a la Turq' in costume influenced by the styles brought back from Constantinople and Turkey by travelers & traders
circa 1890-1910
Hallmarks : Paris, 800 standard, mark used 1838 – 1962, maker mark ”A...T”
Openwork & stamped work for the look of rose cut diamonds. Designed to sew onto fabric.
