BOWKNOT GIRONDELLE EARRINGS in the 17th century Baroque Style, with vivid green “Emerald” Pastes.
Gems are set closed-back in square pinched collets,above 6 prong floral cups -- the center gem framed by 8 figured petals against a figured ribbon knot
Length, each : 2-1/2” from highest point of the hinged ear wire, x 1” wide
Metal : Gold plating, probably over silver
Circa : 1850'S - 1900 ?
Weight, pair : .195 troy oz
Feather-light, remarkably perfect condition, remarkable detailing throughout. The front-to-back spring-hinged earwires, obviously original, suggest date in the 2nd half 1800's.
