Alfred Bower Taylor (1824-1898)                                                              Founding member of the American Pharmaceutical Society;    Founding member of the Philadelphia Numismatic & Antiquarian Society;  through a long and illustrious career, Taylor had numerous merchant tokens struck for his pharmaceutical business, over 21 varieties of which are still catalogued by and featured in numismatic collections today.
