RARE : GOLD-IN-QUARTZ antique gold brooch,

specimen with large fine well-distributed natural gold

Circa : 1860 - 1875 Size overall : 1-1/2 x 1-1/4”

Mounting : tested 14kt, collet with gold wire twist on flat gold border, black enamel tracery

Condition : fine & original, slight loss to some of the enamel tracery; original 19 c hinge & catch
Specimen : 31 x 21 mm (1-3/8+ x 1-1/4”), well-polished top and bottom, beveled top border
